DescriptionAugmentin DDS Suspension is primarily used to manage bacterial infections in the ear, nose, throat, bone, soft tissue, joints and urinary tract infection in children.This suspension is also used to manage recurrent tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, cystitis, animal bites and dental infections. It is an antibiotic medication that combines two active ingredients, amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.Key IngredientsAmoxicillin (400 mg/5 ml) and Clavulanic Acid (57 mg/5 ml)Directions for UseTake as directed by your doctorAdd the sterile water (supplied with the pack) to the bottle slowly till the ring mark on the bottle. Shake it well, and adjust the volume up to the ring mark.To reconstitute the medication, shake the bottle well to loosen the powder.PrecautionsInform your doctor if your child has any pre-existing medical conditions, especially related to the heart, liver, or kidneysThe reconstituted medication should be consumed within 7 days. Any extra portion left should be thrown away.Side EffectsCommon side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain.
